    Terms & Conditions

    These terms apply to all work carried out by Reactive Gas Heating and Plumbing Services Limited ("we", "us"). They sit alongside any signed quotation; where the two conflict, the signed quotation takes precedence.

    1. About us

    Reactive Gas Heating and Plumbing Services Limited, registered in England & Wales. Trading address: 9 Rutherford Court, Corby, Northamptonshire NN17 4SJ. Phone 07488 883576. Email info@reactiveph.co.uk. We are Gas Safe and OFTEC registered.

    2. Quotations

    • Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
    • Prices are fixed once accepted in writing — including VAT, parts and labour as itemised.
    • Where additional work is genuinely uncovered (e.g. hidden corroded pipework), we will pause and obtain your written approval before continuing. We will not invoice for unapproved extras.
    • Estimates (clearly marked as such) are best-judgement figures and are not binding.

    3. Booking and access

    • An installation date is confirmed once we receive your written acceptance and any agreed deposit.
    • You're responsible for providing safe and reasonable access on the agreed date. If we can't gain access through no fault of ours, an abortive-visit fee may apply (quoted in your booking confirmation).
    • Cancellation more than 48 hours before the start date: free of charge. Within 48 hours: deposit is non-refundable.

    4. Payment

    • Repairs and small jobs: payable on completion by bank transfer or card.
    • Installations: agreed deposit on booking, balance on the day of commissioning.
    • Late payment: interest at 8% above Bank of England base rate, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
    • We do not store card details on our systems.

    5. Guarantees and warranties

    • Our workmanship is guaranteed for 24 months from completion.
    • Manufacturer parts warranties run separately — duration depends on the product (up to 12 years on qualifying Worcester Bosch boilers when we register the install).
    • Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party tampering, system contamination, frost damage where the system has been left unprotected, or scale build-up in hard-water areas where no scale reducer was fitted.

    6. Your statutory rights

    Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and at a reasonable price.

    7. Liability

    We carry comprehensive public liability insurance (proof of cover available on request). Our liability for any one job is capped at the invoice value of that job, except where liability cannot be limited by law (e.g. death, personal injury or fraud). We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. loss of earnings).

    8. Complaints procedure

    If you're not happy with any aspect of the work:

    • Tell us within 14 days by phoning 07488 883576 or emailing info@reactiveph.co.uk.
    • We acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and aim to resolve within 14 working days.
    • If we can't resolve it between us, you may refer the matter to the Gas Safe Register (for gas work), OFTEC (for oil work), or the Citizens Advice consumer service on 0808 223 1133.

    9. Governing law

    These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
